Federico Soldati is a professional artist and television presenter based in Switzerland. He has been astonishing international audiences for over ten years with intriguing and innovative mentalism shows, which he has presented both on television as well as in numerous live events. He also regularly works as a Paragliding Tandem Pilot with his company FlyTicino.
Born in Lugano (Switzerland) in 1988, he showed great interest in the art of performance even as a child. He was particularly fascinated with juggling, an art which he taught himself and performed within his family and friends circle. His discovery of the world of illusion occurred few years later, when he was only twelve years old, after finding some old books about magic once belonging to his father. It was love at first sight and Federico quickly was drawn into the world of magic, dedicating himself heart and soul to the study of illusory techniques. His passion and enthusiasm for constantly expanding his repertoire led to him holding his first public shows at the age of fourteen.
Reports of his well-received performances spread like wildfire and before long he was asked to become a member of the Club Magico dell’Insubria. Within this circle, which gave him the opportunity to compare his abilities with those of other members, he noted his own affinity for mentalism, the art of mental magic. As a result he began to learn how to improve his memory, to develop psychological techniques, to refine body language, together with other significant elements, allowing him to revolutionise his act, making it unique in its kind.
Discovered at a party by Matteo Pelli, a Swiss TV presenter, Federico made his first television appearance at the age of nineteen. Thanks to success of this appearance, he was then invited as a guest in a variety of programmes, including ‘A modo mio’, ‘Attenti a quei due’, ‘Piatto forte’, ‘A Diabolik piaceva l’insalata’ and ‘Patti Chiari’.
His jump to international prominence occurred in 2012, after his astonishing mentalism performance, at the age of twenty-three, on the hugely popular Italian television program ‘Italia’s Got Talent’. Federico was ranked third out of 3,000 competitors with a live television audience of 8 million viewers. Following that significant recognition, he was invited to participate in numerous television programs on prestigious networks such as Mediaset, Rai and Sky. This resulted in a great increase in his popularity as well as in the requests for his performances at corporate and private parties.
His progression as a performer led to him being named host in 2013 of the National Swiss TV (RSI) programme ‘Il Rompiscatole’, broadcast every evening from Monday to Friday on the principal Swiss-Italian network.
In addition to his thriving career as a performer, Federico is pursuing his studies in Law at Lucerne University.
